Don't let the exterior ambience of just another American Mexican restaurant for you. Once you enter it's completely an authentic Mexican atmosphere. The tacos el pastor are amazing. A great find.

Cheap Mexican food. Great margaritas. Mexicans running the place. Cannot complain at all. Not the best Mexican I've had, but for Little Rock, it is the best I had. Going with any of the combination meals does not steer you wrong. I love their hot tamale. It is cheesy and great balance with the red sauce. Staff was nice. Nothing stood out. Recommend this place for your Mexican fix.

Pretty good stuff! Great service. Guacamole is good. Chimichangas are tasty. Salsa is decent, not too hot, I eat here regularly because it's close to my work. Never had a bad experience. Not quite 5 stars but a strong 4.

Because my boyfriend loves this place, we go here a few times a month. While it's certainly not BAD food, it's also not GREAT food. Typical chain Mexican food ubiquitous to seemingly every Mexican restaurant in Little Rock. The white cheese dip is good, but the salsa has pieces of pepper that can be extremely spicy. One night I ruined my makeup coughing up pepper. The beef in the tacos is overly seasoned. I prefer taco meat to be basically plain, maybe with a few onions or bell peppers. This has a very strong "Old El Paso" seasoning flavor to it. The margaritas are very good, especially the frozen Rosa Margarita with raspberry liquor. The one thing that keeps me coming back is the staff. They are beyond friendly and attentive. I have never had a less than stellar experience with a waiter.

If I could give them 1/2 star I would! Let's begin...a co-worker talked this place up so much, I had to come and see what the fuss was all about! Arrived Friday night, May 10 @ 920ish. The place was busy so hey, that's gotta be a good sign right???? WRONG! So the waiter seats my sister and I in the back by a party of 12. Now why he put two ppl there with the party is unknown especially wen we passed at least 4 empty booths to get there! WRONG!! Sorry sir, we don't want to sit here, thank you. So we moved to another booth closer to the entrance. The menu is massive and since it being our first time we wanted to stick to what we know. Ordered the chicken fajitas and enchilada combo! WRONG!!! Can you say crap on a plate!!!! Runny watery beans, dry chicken even tho is was covered in red sauce and flavorless fajitas. Wow, when the manager finally came over to ask about how we liked the meal, I made sure to mention how delicious there soda was!!!!! 1st week out here from California and this is what I have to look forward to when craving Mexican food???? Well I'm in trouble...big trouble! This experience has led me to upload a picture of real authentic Mexican food...from California!!!! Now every time I drive down University.....I push down a bit harder on the gas in order to speed pass Senor Te-crap-o!!!

Had dinner at Senor Tequila last evening with my wife. Didn't know what to order as I've tried nearly everything on the menu. The wife suggested fish so I ordered a shrimp chimichanga ($4.95) and a ceviche ($2.95). The ceviche was extremely delicious. Served on a crispy corn tortilla with slices of avocado on top. A wee bit salty, but we'll be ordering these again. The shrimp chimichanga was tasty and filled with plenty of shrimp, rice, peppers and onions. The white cheese sauce was a good match. As always we had prompt service for beverages, chips, salsa and our order. Due to several large groups arriving around our departure, we had trouble getting our ticket to cashier out. This location of the family owned and managed chain is near UALR and is always busy at lunch weekdays. Happy hour is from 4:30 to 7 weekdays. A mariachi band plays every other Sunday evening, so call ahead if dining on a Sunday night.

I think Senor Tequila is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Little Rock. This location is clean, the staff is very efficient and attentive, and the food is great. My husband and I typically split one plate of chicken fajitas (more than enough!). We've also tried their queso and guacamole- both very good. No complaints from my end.

Had a craving for Mexican while I was in town so I went on Yelp and looked up some mexican places and found this. I was pretty satisfied with my experience. Seated time we came in. The waiter was quick and efficient he wasnt very personable or friendly. The Fajita nachos were really good and plenty for 3 people to split. The guacamole was good but a little overly salty. Chimichangas were really good, I gotta mango margarita, really good, but wasnt quite frozen. Solid mexican food and service was pretty good, so I would go back. Right by UALR so prices are good to attract the college students

This place is situated in a strip mall and the interior is bright and busy. Though there was a big lunch crowd I easily found a table and was seated quickly. Service was prompt, the house 'rita almost arrived with my chips! I stopped by for lunch and couldn't decide which fajita's to get, the chicken or beef so I got the lunch combination. When the fajitas arrived there was more meat than vegi's which was a good thing. Honestly the lunch portion is more than ample and could actually be a dinner portion as I had leftovers. There was actually enough sour cream and guacamole to make several fajitas, not the teaspoon of each or not at all like most places. The meat was seasoned perfectly, the staff was attentive and was an enjoyable meal. You cannot pay your server tho, you will have to take your check to the cashier to check out and during busy times it can take a few minutes of standing in line to leave.

I really have a good time eating at Senor Tequila. The service needs little improvement but the food is good. I really enjoyed the taco salad whioch I found to be tasty. It comes with lettuce, ground beef, white cheese, tomato, and green peppers. The white cheese dip is so good that I lick the bottom of the bowl and the hot sauce was tasty with mild spice. The portions are plentiful enough for two to share and the prices are very affordable for a family dinner. I would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for great mexican food at affordable prices!!!!

Worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I love the other two locations but this was a disaster. We were greeted and sat at a table. After seeing several people that came in after get drinks and place food orders before us, I stopped someone and asked if they know who are server was. They replied "no" and walked off. Several minutes later I stopped the manager and he takes are drink and food order. After are food came no one checked on us and our waters never got refilled. The guacamole tasted off and the shrimp hadn't been deveined (gag). We had to ask three different people to get the check and finally went up to the front ourselves to pay for the disgusting food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
